How do you view the path of a website when you put your mouse pointer over the link...?

I have Windows vista and IE8. I am trying to find a way to view the links of a website before I click on it.

I hope the question is clear.

Look at the bottom of the IE window - there's a 1 line high blank space. When you hover ofer a link, the address will be in there. (It could be a Javascript link, or it can be hidden by Javascript n the page, but almost all links will show,)
