Why does my laptops fan run 24/7?

It's an HP DV-5 that was bought new about two months ago, and the fan runs loudly the WHOLE time the computer is on. While the laptops still get really warm, I vacuumed and air sprayed the inside. So , what should I do?

Thanks.

You should be grateful it runs 24/7.

That's it's job. Laptops can get hot pretty damn fast considering it's form factor. All the components are crammed into a small space with little air flow.

Laptops will heat up while even doing the simplest tasks such as web browsing. To keep the heat to a minimum, you can run your computer on power saver mode. This chokes the components so it does not create as much heat. This will slow down your computer a bit but solves the heating issue.

The weather contributes to the heat issue as well, if you live in a hot area, the fan is circulating heated air which doesn't allow your components to really cool down.

As for the loud sounds the fan creates, it could just be the way it was manufactured or it can be loose screws holding in your fan.

To further solve this issue, you can purchase a laptop cooler.

When you use it, make sure that the air is flowing through the fan opening either at the bottom or the side.
