Why do Christians welcome the end of the world?

The Pope said pollution is another mortal sin now.

Christians look at the end of the world as yes, God's Will. Although, they also see it as a time for rebirth and redemption, thinking that the end of the world is the coming of the next messiah and that the innocent shall be taken and the rest condemned.

Because this world is evil and getting worse every day. The next one will be infinitely better, better than we can imagine.
