Why does Chanel jewelry cost as much as or more their bags....?
Wanted to buy my wife a gift and was looking at prices. Their bracelets and necklaces are almost the same prices as their bags. Why is this? It's COSTUME jewelry. Where is the value in that. At least the bags are leather and such. Just curious.
Not concerned about price. Don't tell me what stuff is cheaper. the Question IS... why is the jewelry the same prices as the bags? It's costume jewelry. What is in the materials or the construction that justifies the pricing to be similar to the bags.

The price is similar to that of the handbags because it's the Chanel brand. If Chanel sold jewelry at Walmart prices, they couldn't charge as high for other items. Chanel's products are targeted for people who are willing to pay extra just because it's Chanel. By charging more, they create the idea of value and high quality for their products. Those who want that value and quality are willing to pay more to get it.

if you get smaller jewelerey it can be cheaper. i got a smaller neclace there for about $250
