91 Aerostar AWD? What other vehicles used an interchangeable transmission?

I need to find a used transmission for my 91 Aerostar AWD. That model is rare. Would a tranny from a Ford Ranger, Explorer or Bronco II fit OK? If so, what model years will interchange?

It appears that only 1990 and 1991 aerostar are direct replacements!
