    Salaamu alaikum wa Rahmatu Allaah,

I just wanted to say, that we all know that the fasting month is once in every year, but just a few muslims make their preparations over the long term... If you find difficulties regarding your ibaadah, you should make the effort to change it.. I.e. move out of the country from the Mushrikeen. 11 months time to figure that out.. I don't see any reason for a muslim to come there, to be honest...

The same with Europe and America, we all should leave these place to perform hijrah. But yet, not every country is setting his doors open. Than we should find atleast a place where we can perform salaah and saum without any worries and waswaas...

I find it somewhere strange that you post this question now less than 2 weeks ahead for Ramadan. What for ummah is it, that they figure this out in such short time.. A ummah that doesn't perform saum on the days of sunnah.

Really i am curious about those who had benefit of your question...

Mintee is almost correct. For such countries that the day is too long, they should go by the timing of Makkah.

Source(s): I used to live in Ireland where in summer, the sun sets at around 10 pm.

from what I learned, if you live in a place like the arctic, you just go by the timings in SaudiArabia..

Wow, your holy book did not make a mention of it. I now am starting to doubt...psst psst

13 thumbs down, and counting...more, please.

It is a celestial event, so it should have been mentioned. A illiterate lady would listen to her holy book and come to know a few exciting scientific facts discovered by her book, so why not know a thing or two about the midnight sun and what to do with it when fasting?
