Update:

Makes me wonder what will happen once they find the right scenario for JR @ HMS. He can be a handful if he gets his sh*t together (on and off the track)

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

I am so fed up with all these Jr. bashers that I could literally pitch a brick at them.

NO ONE and I mean NO ONE ever stops to consider all the chit that Jr. has been through in the past years.

To lose his Dad on what should have been a great day for him is so tragic.

Then to lose controlling interest in a company that should rightfully been his and his siblings.

Then to have the bad couple of years he has had, who wouldnt be disheartened?

I will stay a Jr. fan as long as he is racing, I am not a fair weather fan.

No, the stats do not surprise me or any of Juniors loyal fans. He isn't the first and he won't be the last driver to have a "bad year". I know from experience...I am a Cleveland Indians & Browns fan so I know all about bad seasons. The only reason the stats surprise people is because they don't pay attention to them. They are too busy dissing on Junior and hating him which is sad. Stats don't mean anything to them. Part of your statement is very true, when they get the right hook up for Junior a whole lot of people better look out. Dang right he'll be a handful. Even though he's had horrible luck this year, he still has what it takes to back it up...statistics. Whatever he does off the track has nothing to do with his performance on the track and shouldn't even be thought of as a factor. That's private and personal. He will be back and then watch the momentum of the haters & dissers jump on Juniors Band wagon. Nice post, have a star. Good luck to everyone's driver this weekend. JMHO

Championship I hope at least Chase Continder Hendick is gonna give him everything he needs. He has Tony Eury JR. long time Crew Chief and 3 other former DEI Crew members. Testing has been going well he seems more happy than the last 2 years at DEI, sorry it went that way. But now he is at the best team in the sport. Look at Jimmie Johnson 2 years in a row, maybe Chad Kanus is a big cheater an gets away with it? But Junior has won races at about half the tracks so he has a very good chance!!! That's why I hope he can get his head on straight and get everything together next year, because he does have the potential to be a threat on the track. Some of the people who bash him on here are either aware of these stats and choose to ignore them, or are oblivious to them and choose to bash him out of ignorance.

The point of stats like these are simply to illustrate that his entire career has not sucked, as some people claim. In more recent seasons he has not done as well, but neither have a lot of other drivers out there.

Will, I remind my friends who like to bash him about these stats all the time, it shuts them up till the next race..Yes, once he finds that magic again and starts kicking some major a** out there on the track. But will the Jr Haters and Bashers still continue to hate and bash him, believe me they will find a reason. I'm a Dale Jr fan forever, and the bashers and haters will be here forever, and I could care less about them, I keep on cheering for my fav Dale Jr.

    Go Dale Jr

Great stats when you are only comparing to drivers that have been active since 2000.

The stats fail to mention that Dale Jr

Has had losing streaks of 76 and 42 races respectfully.

Dale Jr has the worst win percentage of all those active drivers since 2000 except for Matt Kenseth.

The stats fail to mention that there are 4 other active drivers that came into NASCAR after 2000 that have better win percentages. Kyle Busch in particular has doubled Jrs win percentage.

It fails to mention that 11 of his wins have come on Plate tracks.

It fails to mention that there are 20 active drivers with better finishing averages on Road course, flat tracks and 1.5 mile ovals. ???

Just to mention a few. And seripously not hating. But those statistics are only based on about 10 drivers that have been active since 2000 which is sugar coating the numbers. So what happened to the other 30 drivers that have been active since 2001 with better numbers????

Percentages are the only true form of judgement. His numbers aren't bad but there are many drivers with much better numbers. HIs numbers are merely based on the fact he has been active since 2000.

I wish there was a stat for how many times someone has simply hit the wall while driving in 10th place.

Like I have said all along, he is far from over.

He does have impressive stats, maybe even better than his dads.

Just look how Tony Stewart did the last 3 years in a Toyota, (he sucked) but now he's back in the right equipment......

Source(s): But I digest...... Just my 2 cents.

All of those stats since 2006 would have him outside the top 30.

  • Interesting stats. You're right about Jr., he could be a handful when he gets his act together!!!! He will. I really think he will and he's going to rock everyone's world when he does.

    STEWART HAAS RACING!!!

I did know these stats and thanks for posting them. Junior is having a tough time there is no denying that but he is far from washed up and he will shine again. His career has been a great one and right now he is in a lul and that happens. I never have and never will loose faith in my boy!
