Does he live at home or does he have his own place and you pay the bills? Whichever it is you have to know about "tough love " If he's at home, give him a month to get his own place. You are enabling his behavior by bailing him out all the time. He knows he can rely on you so stop it right now. You'll be doing him a favor in the long run.
Make it very clear that you will not pay another bill.
It's difficult I know but he is a man not a child so let him stand on his own two feet.
All the best.

Stop bailing him out - let him suffer the consequences. 39 years old and his mother (or father) is still worrying about him acting like an adult?!

I think you should just let him be...leave him on his own!
he is 39 years old...he should already be responsible on his own, dont baby him. he obviously knows that mom and dad are going to help him out...so just stop! let him do it on his own.

you got six months left to sign him up for the Army. At 40 he is too old. This is probably your only chance.
Otherwise i would go with the 122 trimester abortion.
