MotoGP: Casey & Ducati SPLIT ? Big Smokescreen ? .....?

Hi Wiggysan, I will be keeping an eye on this. its possible. its the silly season and its contract time. virtually no one signed up for next season. personally I dont think its true. I think Stoner could demand whatever and get it. the health thing is a worry though, if its hodgkins it will be over for him as a racer. whatever series. though I hope its all rumours and it ends up just being a virus.

Though I suppose that depends on the type too. lymphomas can be tricky to treat. im still hoping for a virus.

Ok it would be to easy to slag Casey off, that said I think HE is the problem and is trying to hard, but then he always has, he always rides as if every lap is his last, look how often he fell from the LCR Honda. I think his current problems are problems of his own making, he is a fantastically talented rider and quite possibly the fastest out there most days but I question his development skills, I think Ducati have missed Capirossi in this respect, his performance on the 800 was far better than any of his successors. Casey's talent has allowed him to ride round inherrent problems with the bike and that has been highlighted by the fact no-one else could ride it, until Hayden dogedly stuck to the task in hand. I think the best thing for Ducati is to lose him to Honda next year, it will be Honda's loss. The only thing that will even the playing field is when VR & JB quit.

Wow I couldn't see that happening since Casey is the best Performer Ducati have ever had in Moto GP. That's Bizarre, I better go read the story. I read the link you have, as usual some reporter isn't getting all the truth. Edgar Jessop you are a dick making something of nothing. If you done your homework you would know Casey has been sick the last 3 rounds. I'm sure when the Australian doctors find the illness Casey has he will be back at Ducati.

I believe in what Suppo said, because it makes sense. I can't imagine a reason to hide the hypothetical Stoner's departure, so I'm guessing that's not happening. It doesn't convince me :)

I read what Proc wrote, and I really hope it isn't Hodgkins :P. Some diseases are really terrible...

We'll have to wait and see. In the meanwhile, I also hope Stoner keep's practising in the playstation heheh

I still haven't seen this day's race, but I'm very curious to see Kalio's effort!

Far too early for any of us to know. I was at Brno, shmoozing with my other media buddies and there was rumpur going around that he has had a mental block. We all just have to wait and see.

Proc - sorry I can't agree with you though that if an individual has Hodgkinsons that it is over as a racer. There are many who have made 100% full recoveries and even if Casey had this then it will have been caught early enough - hopefully.
