did you hear that Les Paul died today?

he was the man who invented the solid body electric guitar as we know it as well as multitrack tape recording, the first studio console, the first echo units, and so many other great innovations! he will be sorely missed.

I heard it yesterday and I was sad. The part that made it most sad was that I was in a guitar store looking at guitars and stuff when I got the phone call.

This is the first I've heard of it. :'( I broke a string and went to the guitar store to replace it yesterday, I hadn't broken a string in FOREVER. Now that I think about it, everyone seemed so sad. I hope he is in a better place, in the arms of the angels, he wholeheartedly deserves it for the joy he brought, and will continue to bring. :( RIP

The man was a great innovator but a lot of people tend to forget that he was also a great guitar player.

We have lost a great legend. :(

Even greater than the kiddyfiddler who also died this year.

RIP Mr Paul, you will be missed.
