Is there any way to block one laptop from using a wireless router?
I have an internet connection that is supposed to be secure but i just noticed my sisters boyfriends laptop uses it. I don't want to be held responsible for anything that idiot does online. How can I block it without having to slowly explain to my mother what the consequences can be only to be told it's none of my business. Its verizon fios if that matters.

If you are using Linksys router you can block set of mac address or allow certain mac address to use your router. If you only want to use your wireless router then only add your mac address of your system.
A MAC address is one level lower than an IP address. MAC addresses are burned into hardware and can never be changed without getting a new network device, but it is possible to spoof them.
Your wireless router should have MAC address filtering. Find out the MAC addresses of the systems that you want to allow on your network, and allow them access to the network. All other MAC addresses will be filtered out. Also, setting up a password for access would be a good idea.
Here is how u can do that in Linksys router:

ANOTHER WAY:-
Set your wireless router to only accept connections from your MAC address. Simply turn on your computer, click START > click RUN > type "CMD" and press ENTER > type "IPCONFIG -ALL" and press ENTER. Look at the "PHYSICAL ADDRESS" for the wireless nic adapter, that's the MAC address that you need to instruct the wireless router only to connect to. If you get another computer, adapter, laptop, or have a friend over; you will need to add more MAC addresses to the list, but at least it'll be safe.
Encryption is all well and good, but you really should restrict MAC addresses too.
A FEW THINGS YOU CAN DO:
Turn off SSID broadcast in your router. This prevents people from just turning on their WiFi device and having your network show up on their list of available networks. They can still connect if they know the name, you just aren't advertising it. It's like having an unlisted phone number.
Turn on MAC address filtering, so that only "trusted" clients can connect. Any network adapter whose MAC address isn't in your list is blocked. This means that if you have a friend over and you want to let them into your network, you will have to add their MAC address manually.
Both of these can be worked around but they will be sufficient to block casual intruders. It's always best to have multiple layers of security instead of relying on just one.

If he replaced into waiting to place in utility on the computing gadget than that ought to truly clarify it (there are classes which could do this). That'd usually be attainable to get around. With a router nevertheless some fashions could be configured to basically enable specific computers to hook up with the internet at specific situations, it truly relies upon on what router you have have been given and can be difficult to get previous if set up properly.

The only way to limit this would be to set your router up to use MAC Address filtering.
By doing this you would only allow the MAC addresses you enter in the router to get a connection. here is a link to more info:

I would recommend changing the network name and password, to something a lot different than what it used to be. For example, if the network name used to be Bob, don't just change it to Bob43. Instead, change it to something like Benny.
