Chihuahua with fleas that won't go away?

My Chihuahua pup keeps getting fleas and I can't seem to get rid of them. I have bombed the house to make sure they aren't infesting my house, sprayed his kennel with flea spray as well as his bed, gave him baths in Dawn and regular flea shampoo, sprayed him with flea spray, and still I find fleas! He is too small for frontline and the pill form since he is only 2lbs, anyone else know any good remedies for fleas? I need help!!! They are driving me crazy so I can only imagine how poor little Dexter feels.

Update:

I don't have carpeting. My house is all hardwood flooring

Your home or the yard still has fleas.

All of the bedding needs to be washed, furnishings treated and carpeting.

I just read an article that sprinkling plain old salt on the carpets will dehydrate & kill off fleas. It is to be left in there for a few days.Fleas feed on it.

For the outdoors you have a natural product called diatemacious earth(sorry bout poor spelling)Just ask at the garden center locally.

Flea bath first. Then bomb again. Most bombs only kill live fleas, not eggs so you need to get the eggs too and so bomb then - vacuum every nook and cranny you can find, including any furniture you pup has been on, bed, chairs, couch, etc. and then wash all his and your bedding in HOT water. Be sure to throw away the vacuum bag or dump the cup FAR AWAY from your house as it will be full of flea eggs.

The female can produce as many as 2,000 eggs during her short lifespan. Those eggs fall off and hatch all over the house--in the carpet, on the couch, under the covers. Eventually those newly hatched fleas will need to find a host of their own, and the whole cycle starts all over again. So it's not enough to kill the adult fleas; you have to get rid of all the eggs and larvae, too.
