whats a side dish i can make with shepherds pie? What should i serve with it?

Shepards pie is a pretty complete meal in itself. I'd serve it with a simple salad with a basic vinagrette, warm bread and perhaps some good cheese.

I think that sliced carrots would go nicely with shepherds pie (it also would add a bit of color to your plate-presentation is always important). You could also have some garlic bread as a side (if you are making a nice meal for someone). A good medium-bodied red wine would go great with it.

I wouldn't serve any vegetables with it cause there are too many veggies in the pie. I would do something like a tossed salad and some biscuits.
