decent number of pushups?

i'm 16yrs old and I can only do 35 pushups. I've never regularly worked out before, but I'm going to start to. I was just wondering if 35 pushups is a decent amount and how many I should really be doing at my age. Thanks

Yeah, I know how to do pushups. They aren't bad pushups so I don't kno where you'd get that idea.

    3 sets of 15 starting out then after you get used to that build it up to 20 and by five so on.

    just make sure you are doing "good" pushups. good pushups are very slow. if you do fast pushups, you are using kinetic energy instead of your actual muscles. to do a good pushup, you should go down, hold for 1-2 seconds, then go up.

    doing 5 good pushups is better than 35 bad pushups
