Need help removing my subs from the box?
I have 2 10 inch MTX Thunder 5500 subs in the MTX Sledgehammer box designed for these subs. I want to know if they are glued in or what? I cant seem to get them out. Anyone know how to get these subs out without destroying the box or subs?

remove the screws and just pull them out, they may have used a little silicone/sealant around the edges that will hold it in a little harder but that should not stop you

Usually they are screwed into the box around the outer edge of the basket surrounding the cone. If you have removed the screwsand you cant pull them out the box it is possible you might have to remove the terminals in the back of the box... who knows how tight the manufacturer made the connections ( highly unlikely but I have seen speaker wire get caught up around the magnet preventing a speaker from being removed.
Or silicone / glue was used to make sure the speaker was sealed in... razor knife can be used to slice up silicone just be careful not to cut the physical speaker.

I am pretty sure that they are screwed and possible glued as well. glue alone would be able to hold them in if they were playng at full power. ussually there is ring around them on top if you take that ring of them you will be able to see screws
