2004 Harley Super Sport 1200 Tach. specs?

What exactly is your question? Are you asking how to wire up a tach or a speedo? You asked about a tach in the question, then in details you said speedo.

What did you buy?

Without a FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL...you will have a very difficult time, I strongly suggest you get one, or let someone who knows what they are doing help.

I can probably help, but you need to be more clear.

Cycleshop's answer above is pretty detailed, but if you don't have a manual, you don't know what connectors he is referring to. Wiring is not easy, it requires more than just electrical tape and twisting wires, and there is a correct way and tons of wrong ways to solder, in fact, I NEVER use electrical tape for ANYTHING, and if it is not done properly will create ALOT of problems!!!

By the way....no such thing as an HD Super Sport....it's a SPORTSTER......there are various models of the Sportster, but a Super Sport is not one of them.

EDIT: Send me an email with some details on the speedo ou have, without knowing what it is...no-one can really help.....especially when it comes to calibrating it...YOU HAVE TO KNOW WHAT IT IS AND POSSIBLY NEED A CALIBRATION UNIT.......CUSTOM ELECTRONIC SPEEDOS ARE NOT SOMETHING THE AVERAGE PERSON SHOULD MESS AROUND WITH......THEY CAN MESS WITH THE BIKES ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM!!!!.....AND DEPENDING ON THE SPEEDO...IT MIGHT HAVE TO ELIMINATE, THE INDICATOR LAMPS...AND MOST LIKELY WILL DISABLE HD'S ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS FOR THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM....MEANING IF YOU HAVE A TROUBLE CODE APPEAR...YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RETRIEVE IT...ONLY HD WILL BE ABLE TO DO IT WITH THEIR COMPUTER SYSTEM!!!!!
