How can I invest in South Korean Companies and Stock Market?
How can I enter and invest in the South Korean stock market? I have some high hopes for their Economy ;). I use TD Ameritrade, Etrade financial, and Citibank as my online brokers. Are their any developing South Korean Companies listed on the NYSE, NASDAQ, or S&P? Comments? Thanks!

The ETF: iShares MSCI South Korea Index Fund (EWY)
Like many markets that follow the USA's lead, it's been trending since March.

You can possibly find an emerging market mutual fund that focuses on stocks in this economy. I found 6 stocks on the NYSE from there; WF, SKM, SHG, KB, PKX, and LPL. If you can translate or find an online translator this is the Korean Stock Exchange site; http://www.krx.co.kr/index.html

I would be focused on the ADRs vs. trading on the KOSPI. The other responder points out that there is a major issue with thin volume in the ADRs. Without being personal, I think you can find S. Korean themes without going to S. Korea.

this has to be pr stunt to try to get people to think oooh i should do that too. Because who in their right mind would invest in their stocks when the entire globe is doing horrid? Who would invest in a country that is 3 seconds from being nuked and lost their president just today?
Can we invest in Cuba also I hear Castro is out the door....

I use Scottrade and they do all foreign stocks. The ones you listed should work too.
