    Max Schmeling hit the floor after taking a left hook from Jack Sharkey in the 4th round in a fight he was losing! Max won the title looking up from the floor!

    Max Schmeling, so far the only man to ever win the Heavyweight title by Disqualification. Jack Sharkey hit Schmeling low so hard he couldn't continue and Sharkey was disqualified. This was for the vacant title, which was relinquished by Gene Tunney when he retired in 1928
