What is the difference between the Kryptolok Series 1, Kryptolok Series 2, the Evolution, and the New York?
Obviously the Evolution and New York are stronger, but mainly what are the differences between the Kryptolok Series 1 and Series 2? I've read on the internet that the Series 1 that it took less than a minute to break.
I want to stick with Kryptonite instead of Onguard, because OnGuard locks do not honor anti-theft guarantees if the locks were busted by a power tool.
I found a kryptonite kryptolok series 2 at my local bike shop for only $30; I can't find any dealers of the Evolution, so buying online it is $45.

Evolutions are going to be the next step up, but if you are thinking about the evolution mini be warned it's truly is mini. Getting it through the back wheel the frame and around whatever you are locking it too takes some careful planning. You might want to think about the standard New York lock if you really need security but need more room in the lock. Or just go all out and get the Fahgettaboudit u-lock or the chain. I have read some stuff on the Fahgettaboudit U-lock where a test bike survived an entire week in a high crime area. They took everything off the bike but the frame was still there. Basically the differences are going to be better locking mechanisms and less pryable locks for the upper end stuff.
Edit: I was looking around and Amazon.com has all these locks for really good prices.
