What guitar modes would sound good in a 2-5-1 progression?

say we're in G major. I know you can use A dorian and D mixolydian, but are there any others that arn't exactly in the key, but sound jazzy?

thanks

Try a Mongolian or Jewish scale over the entire progression:

    G Ab B C D Eb F#

Try a super locrian or lydian dominant from the V chord over the ii-V and maybe a lydian over the I.
