can i recover lost files by doing system recovery?

You can often successfully recover deleted files from a PC, it all depends on what has happened since the files were deleted.

When you delete files the data itself isn’t deleted, just the index entry that tells the system where the data for those files is located. The area containing the deleted data is also now marked as free space so it is available for any new files to be written there instead.

Recovery only records the changes to the location of the data. If you have defragged or done some file saves then the data you lost may well have already been overwritten. You need to say what Operating System you are using. Also what type of files are you trying to recover. Text files can often be partially recovered, image files are moreproblematicc

Trial version allows to view recoverable photo only, and full version costs only 30 bucks, so I bough it without trying. Luckly it worked. Just that scan may take long time depends on hard disk capacity.
