INTERNATION airplane question..are you allowed to bring food? please help?

I am going to fly on an international plane for vacation tomorrow and was wondering if I can bring some fruit bars to eat on the plane...is this allowed? I dont want them to take it away when it goes through the x-ray machine for CARRY ON items. Can someone please help me?

Yes you can. There's no restrictions on food as long as the food conforms to the restrictions on gels and liquids and is properly wrapped. Fruit bars should be fine, some countries may have restrictions on importing fruit, so finish what you bring on the plane or you may have to declare any uneaten fruit bars.

sure, take whatever you want that isn't liquid > 3oz! I take fruit, sandwiches...if you do take any fresh food, eat it or toss it before you go thru customs at the other end
