What are some stereotypes/generalizations of Christians?
I'm making a list and will try to understand and prove that these stereotypes are wrong.
One I heard was that Christians blame their sins on Satan. I for one do not blame my sins on anyone but myself, Satan might of tempted me but I took the bait.
Any others?

Let's see:
We're all racist, sexist, inbred, homophobic, ignorant/stupid, brainwashed, deluded automatons who want a theocracy and protest abortion clinics while firing our guns.
I don't think I left anything out.

we don't blame satan for the sin, we hold him in contempt for tempting us.
People think we are (quote) "Too religious" which is silly, because if you read the bible, that is what God wants from us. He wants all of us.
One thing i have noticed, at church (around other Christians ,people i love)
Is that we start to think have the right to judge, like God himself. Gossip is prevalent and contagious. There is this spiritual arrogance. All this makes it hard for me to hang around other Christians. I get along better with those who are not in church, sometimes they end up being more humble and less judgmental, go figure!

That we're stupid and this is not true. We don't believe in worrying or retaliation but sometimes our actions give others the wrong impressions cause they don't understand what we are doing---we are walking by faith.
They call us fundies and this is not fair. It's a derogatory term which actually originated with the terrorists. The terrorists were considered to be fundamentalists. We are not at all like the terrorists and this is totally turned around!
Another thing is they think we believe in fairy tales and this is not true. We believe in the truth. The word of God is truth and since they don't believe that, they accuse us of believing in fairy tales.

Christians are close minded.
Christians aren't educated.
Christians pray over every meal and before bed.
Christians think they don't actually have to repent if they are saved.
Christians want a theocracy.
And that's all I can come up with for now.

Christians are supposed to be moronic, judgmental, low morals, have circular thinking, and have lower Q's that non-believers dear,. Oh, and be cluless when it comes to the subject of atheism, science, and politics.
Praise the Lord !
We are # : 1 !, which means that we are important enough to watch and learn from !

Christians only do good things to "earn" their way into heaven. I heard that so many times in R & S.

that you concentrate on the negatives and do not raise your children with an intrinsic sense of selfworth
i've heard christians dismiss their kids talents as 'ego'
i've heard christians tell their kids to forgive a bully rather than demonstrate to them how to stand up for themselves
things like that...

Watch the movie "Saved!" with Mandy Moore... it pretty much has every Christian stereotype imaginable...
I personally don't believe in stereotypes, and like Christians too :)

That all christians are stupid and uneducated. To disprove, point to Dr. Frances Collins, HEAD of the Human Genome Project and author of "The Language of God"
That we all think alike (uh duh)
That we all have seemingly contradictory beliefs like hellfire and the trinity (we all don't)
That we are brainwashed... incapable of thinking for ourselves.
I think that's all I've got.

That they try to force non believers into believing in God against their will.
