Do you believe District 9 merits a sequel?

I enjoyed the flick and the story is obviously left wide open to go in several directions. Curious to know what others think and what they'd like to see if a sequel is considered. Thanks for your time. Later.

I thought it was a great movie, the hype was true (and then some). I liked the ending (not a sweet wrap-up, more realistic). I was hoping maybe by the 45min mark that this movie would have a sequel (or an HBO spinoff). Then again, when greedy, uncreative people get involved (and you know they will since D9 now equals $$$) the story (and everything else) will get "mainstreamed" and "PG-13".

I think it merits a sequel. I'd like to see Wikus as a prawn, experiencing aparthied, meeting other interesting prawns, then Christoper returning 3 years later to cure Wikus/rescue the other prawn/get revenge on MNU.

...But Hollywood will mess up a good thing. I say let D9 stand alone.

I would like the story of Christopher and Wikus continued. What if Christopher got his alien race and attacked human race and/or MNU. Really would love to see a sequel but doesn't have to have one.
