i'm overwhelmed, what should i do?

i'm an incoming junior in high school, i'm called a workaholic, or a busy bee by many people. i'm scared. during the school year, i'll have two jobs, i'm currently an officer for the largest club on campus, i signed up for the swim team, and not to mention, i've got my AP classes. you can say i am feeling overwhelmed. i've thought a lot about resigning office for my club. i have been somewhat neglecting it and i feel bad, everyone understands, but my job is important. it's a service club and i am the service chair. i've never had problems with setting up services, it's just i feel like i've got too much on my plate right now. i don't even know if i will be able to fit the swim team in my schedule. the school year is going to be so hectic. i've been telling myself to just stick with everything and see what happens. but now, i'm just feeling tired and wondering what the hell am i going to do. everyone always tells me they think i can do it, and that i worry too much. what the hell am i going to do.

in need of advice?

well the answer is simple. you wont be able to do that well in your classes and all your other activities if you barely even have time to do them all. take out some things that are unecessary. of course keep your classes, and jobs if you really for some reason need to have two of them, then cut out the club or swimming. thats too much crap to do. theres no other way to make things easier on yourself

Well I believe you can do it if you really want to. But you have your whole life ahead of you to stress out. Sometimes people make a list of what they have to do and cut out somethings, depending on what they really wanna do. I understand you feel kinda obligated to do the service, but your feeling overwhelmed and you can get sick from that. By sick I mean: Lose hair, get stomach pains, nerve twitching, headaches, and so on.You should do what you really want to. Maybe even take some regular class if you want. Don't stress over it, just see what you really wanna do, don't do something just because others want you to! You should have a bit of time to enjoy life! smell the roses lol. I'm sure you'll do fine.

It's true though, just go with the flow w/ and everything will be fine :]

About the stress thing, why don't you go out with friends the whole day & with the the work/school thing itll be the last thought in your head , get a massage to relax your temples, having alone time to yourself is good too :] such as walking around.

you should do what feels right for you. i completely over committed myself my sophomore year and i ended up getting mono. if you feel like you have too much going on then don't do so much. you will end up being less stressed out and doing better on the things that you committed to doing. i'm going into college and i did some college courses in high school as well. it gets overwhelming. good luck with everything!

There is nothing wrong with taking something off your plate if you're overwhelmed. Prioritize what is most important for you and then get rid of the other stuff. If you don't, you won't do anything well..and may get sick from stress..take care of yourself and balance out your schedule.

Don't stick with everything you mentioned you will drive yourself insane and be an unhappy mess. If you wear yourself too thin you won't be productive.

It is all up to you, but if it is draining you, drop one of your extras. Wouldnt you rather be able to give your all at one thing rather than just a little at a million things?
