What is the best floor fan or oscillating fan?
I have a "King of Fans" fan and while it puts out a lot of air movement, it is very loud. Is there a quieter fan that is still powerful?
I am wondering if anyone knows of a particular brand that is quieter.
Thanks

That depends on you needs. We use a combination of floor and ceiling fans. Box fans in windows or positioned to move air around the house, especially with our wood stove in one room moving the heat around in winter.
With a ceiling fan you can change the fan's direction in Spring and Fall to keep hot and cold air circulating in your room. This will help regulate temperatures, our house is over 100 years old and trust me this helps.

You can get an inexpensive mesh cloth with elastic. just put it over the fan. It will collect al the dust, without getting on the blades. This way you only have to put the cover in the wash, and start all over again. This works out quite well for me. I hope this helps you. Good luck.

Don't be so picky. Fans are fans.
