Will other people notice the flaws in my I2/I3 engagement ring?

If you have an engagement ring with I2/I3 clarity or cracks/feathers that you can see if you look up close..... did other people notice the flaws when they first looked at your ring?

btw: i love my ring. i just want to prepare myself for people's comments on the ring.

It depends a bit on the size of the diamond and whether the flaws are black carbon spots or white feathers etc.

I don't think they will comment straight about the diamond quality. I have a champagne colored I3 diamond ring and I have had people ask what sort of stone it is. When I tell them it's a diamond, they are usually smitten because of it's size.

Unless someone grabs your hand, brings out his magnifier and looks at the stone, I don't think someone will notice. If they do, they are rather rude.

Personally, what I notice straight away is the unnatural brightness and sparkle of a cubic zirconia. At least you have a natural stone, and that's what the inclusions are about, the stone being created under natural circumstances and those are hardly ever perfect.

    Enjoy your ring - Cheers
