Immigration in the next twenty years.?

So, I think one of the most critical issues in the US is immigration. And I think it will continue to escalate in the next twenty years. I was just wondering if anyone else agreed with me, and if so, why? What effects do you think this is having on the US?

I think there should be a cut off point. So many hate the US, so why should we let them in? Illegals come here, wave their flags, say how much they hate the country, then beg the taxpayers to support them and their 50 kids. I say we stand up as a people and fight back, make them all prove if they are legal or not, then force our government to send them back to their own country that they themselves destroyed. Look at what they are doing to the US. They are making it into another Mexico, and that's the last thing this planet needs. We need to look out for our own citizens, not another country's citizens. American citizens, no matter the race or creed, come first above them at all times in our own country.

Its obviously a difficult problem but I dont think this is going to stop. As long as other countries (usually third world countries) dont fix their problems they have at home people will continue to search for a better future. American has always seemed to almost everyone around the world the land of dreams, the place where anybody can succeed. If someone had a solution to immigration he/she would be a millionare but i doubt it will happen any time soon. This is an ongoing situation and from my point of view, it will continue growing.

I'm assuming you're specifically talking about Mexicans. It's because it's nearly impossible for most Mexicans to come here legally. The only way they can do it is if they have a lot of money or have a legal relative here. Some people are so ignorant, and think that they just do it the illegal way because they're lazy and want a free ride. I've been studying this in school for years. Most of them are by no means lazy, in fact they work their butts off but there is no way they can save money. In Mexico the lower class make VERY little money, like a couple cents an hour, so every dime they earn they have to spend on food for their kids. It needs to be made more possible for decent hard working Mexicans to come to the U.S. But there should be a law that if they're here, they're supporting their own family. The border does need to be guarded heavily to keep the bad ones out, and the number of immigrants does need to be regulated, since we obviously don't have the resources to support everyone in their country. But I know many Mexican people. They are sincere, genuine, hard-working, and want more than anything to be able to support their families on their own, but it's impossible for them them (or the ones that I know at least, which I think many are like, since they weren't making barely any money in Mexico despite their hard work) to be legal. Mexicans are people, too. And yes, we do need to consider our own needs first and figure out how many we can handle but we can't be greedy. There are other people in this world, too, who deserve the chance to be happy. I also think that the Mexican government in general needs help, to make their country a better place so that the people are happy with their home land and don't need to leave it behind.

p.s. I hate the stereotype that they all have a lot of kids. A lot that I know only have one or two, the most number of kids a Mexican I know has is 4. A lot of Americans have more than 4.

EDIT: And the Mexicans I know act like Mexicans in their privacy, but when they're out they act like Americans. They speak English and eat our food. They don't all hate the US.

EDIT again: Can someone please explain to me why I'm getting thumbs downs? Because I'm not ignorant and actually have a clue what it's like to be in their shoes? I'm not saying immigration isn't a problem that doesn't need to be fixed. I'm not saying that we don't need to put our citizens' needs first. I'm just saying immigrants are an important apart of our society. They make up the US. Unless you're a Native America, you're an immigrant too (well, your ancestors were). I'm just saying that immigration needs to be controlled, that's all. I'm actually educated here.

As soon as we elect people who believe in the sovereignty of our country and put Americans first maybe things will change. And here is an idea why don't the people that want to change our country into a third world country try to use their time and money making these other countries a better place.so they will be able to stay home.

We need a timeout, too assimilate the millions of new immigrants we have now, we should seal the borders with the army for 10 years.
