I have some Jasmine Rice & Black Beans mixed together. Don't want a burrito. Ideas for it? Something new?

It is just plain, no seasoning.

I don't like cumin.

What should I make with it???

Shape it into little discs while it is cold. Heat a little bit of oil in a pan (like a tablespoon or two) and fry them on both sides. When they are heated through, and slightly golden brown on both sides, place them on a paper towel to drain--top with some diced onion or salsa. You could also do this if they are cold and just shape them into the little discs and top them with salsa and serve with a good white wine--it sounds a little strange, but it turns out to be a pretty classy cold rice salad.

Another idea--you can take the bean and rice mixture and add it in with some spicy tomato soup (with some tomato, onion, red pepper, etc.). heat it through and top with a little sprinkle of cheese nd some sour cream. this works really well if you have left-over cooked beef to add in with it (if you are a meat eater) then top with some baked tortilla strips. I do a similar method to make a really easy mexican soup!

Mango salsa! I make a ton of it and then scoop it onto my burrito, and it's a great counterbalance to the earthy taste of black beans. You could also make a grilled tomato, corn, and avocado combo (skip the dressing the other person recommended and go for a light drizzle of oil, s & p) or a simple green salad dressed up with avocados.
