Are these GOOD deals? Opinions Please.?

So, as you know I have a 5-speed 1996 Mustang GT.

I just put some flow masters on it. The mechanic (who is a friend)

charged me $20 a piece for the flow masters and $75 for labor.

It came out to $110. Was that fair?

Also another scenario, I need your opinion on this...

I have 6 cadillac converters on my car. To make the flow masters I put on there a little louder with a rumble, they want to cut off 4 cadillac converts and use pipe to connect it to the exhaust. He said, he would do this for me for $50 and he keep the 4 cadillac converters... is this a fair deal?

My car has 6 cadillac

Update:

I don't see why I need 6 cats. He just wants to remove 4, and keep the other 2 cats on. See, this is why I need an opinion, I don't want to drive around with something illegal...

4 CATALYTIC converters-these aren't cheap, +$200 ea here in Oz, and used ones might be illegal. $75 labour-must be at least an hour's work then, perhaps with some pipe bending a little less. ask what cats are worth locally, try to give a size or source vehicle-but somebody spent some real cash on that exhaust! doesn't mean it was good tho'.

Don't allow him to remove any catalytic converters.

You need to leave the catalytic converters on. It's the law.

People actually steal converters off cars and sell them for profit.

If you had to replace the parts to pass inspection, it would cost $900 in parts. http://shop.oreillyauto.com/ProductDetail.aspx?Mfr...

i'mm from uk and don't realy get what your on about but to charge you to remove parts from the exhaust and then keep the parts he's removing sounds a bit off to me if i was working for a friend i would want very little for removing parts from an exhaust if the parts he's keeping have any value i would say tell him where to get off
