e machines motherboard?

Can you replace the motherboard on an e machines e510 laptop?

Lights come on the laptop but it doesn't start up, I have been told it is the motherboard that's gone.

I'm pretty sure the graphics cards are sautered onto the e-machines(unless you have a high end one w/ discrete graphics) then no. and if you can its gonna probably cost the price of the computer.

I'd recommend buying a apple, hp, compaq, or sony computer next time you get one. I've had emachines and hated them just bought them, because they were, so cheap.

Not easily or cheaply. Cheaper to buy new laptop. Get a second opinion on the motherboard issue. Go to a smaller local pc repair place, stay away from the slugs at geeksquad, best buy, circuitcity etc.

Yeah, if you can find one. But it's gonna cost you as much as a new laptop would anyhow. Get Toshiba, HP or Gateway this time.

You can, but its not worth it. Emachines suck, and so do dells.

Buy a better brand like apple, hp, gateway, or ibm/lenovo
