So how's the stimulus working?

Three words very accurately describe how the Stimulus Plan is working,IT IS NOT.

What it is doing,is creating enormous debt for future Tax Payers,which will eventually catch up with us.

I appreciate your insight but... where were you when Bush was spending 4 trillion dollars for the occupation of Iraq? Wars aren't cheap, you know? Cash for Clunkers IS working. People ARE buying cars. Car sales were up 2% in July. I think most of the stimulus isn't set to take effect to 2010. 2010 so that Obama will be elected again.

Edit: Lol. Hey you don't think We're STILL paying for the occupation? What, did the cost just stop? What about the war in Afghanistan? How much has that cost us? Did you add that into Bush's deficit. I'm sure you didn't. Even if the cost is a trillion, You don't think that's a lot of money? You don't think that's a lot to add to a deficit? Were you upset when Bush doubled the debt, Clinton of course had a surplus and Regan tripled it? Where was your concern then? Or did you not care because "your guy" was the one in charge. The so called stimulus is NOT working and never will. It's complete bull and was used to pay back all the little libbies that got Obama elected. Obama can go ahead and stop blaming Bush now. Obama has successfully tanked America in only months of his term.

Obama carries similar traits to some dictators. I can't believe people actually think this guy is any good. He's probably going to go down as the worst president in American history. He's a little flip flopper who blatantly lies to the American people. The only people who believe his lies are the liberals who tune into libbie land of MSNBC.

BTW , for the people who think the crapulus obama put forth is actually affecting the economy you should re-evaluate. Stop collecting your garbage news over there at MSNBC and tune into reality. The economy is stabling on its own. His stimulus had absolutely nothing to do with it. What a joke.. Keep wishing this guy had anything to do with it. we also need to understand the stimulus was not intended for us it was only intended for wealthy crooks - when we stop supporting wealthy crooks via purchases the madness will end.

economic indicators mean nothing - the stock exchange means nothing - trading is based on nothing but greed and profit - it is not a sign of health it is a sign of disease.

when things are up - millions could be out of work and on the streets but they do not count - they are invisible - not even acknowledged as needing help.

Here is my answer;

We will never know the truth from listening to the politics. because politicians have the opposite views of their statements.They confuse us to no end. As you know, we all can talk good, bad or the ugly about anything we want in our lives.

The best action you and I can take is to do our job the best way we can learn and do it.This will answer to us if the stimulus is working or not.

Well, honestly ... I hear all this talk about States lately and I can be straight with you about it; Even if we solve the federal problems, even if we spend MORE stimulus and even if we spent none at all, my state of New York is certifiably screwed regardless. (Insert prophetic figure here) could become PotUS and New York would still be the worst state in this nation.

Only 25% of it has been distributed so far.

We won't be able to thoroughly evaluate its impact on the economy for another year or so.

but so far, we have the stock market rising for several months in a row, and the unemployment rate leveling off.

Just as it's suppose to. One step closer to Socialism.

Stock market coming back, auto companies working OT, people buying houses....yes, it's coming back, slowly.

Not spending would have been much, much worse.
