Wow what cool tricks, I like the play dead, skate board and treat on nose...maybe due a little skit like a play and incororat several of the tricks into it...maybe like using skateboard to chase a cat , skidding, and then running into a store, getting shot, going to heaven ad recieving a treat.

Your dog knows a lot of tricks! My dog just does play dead when i shoot her with my fingers, she is so dramatic about it too. And she tosses a treat off of her nose. She also does a "frog dog", She goes into the down position, puts her legs out like a frog, and hops across the floor, She's a silly girl. That one always gets a laugh. My son almost wets his pants every time he sees it, so do i.

@ Bonnie L- I don't believe a word you type. Anyways, some people have dogs that are pets, companions. Not everyone has working dogs. Teaching dogs tricks on command is a way to stimulate them. You are so full of it.

I am just going to categorize these for you:

    Common tricks:

Beg, spin, slip, shake, rollover, Hi-5, play-dead

Stuff I've seen on tv before:

Skate board, put away toys, jump through hoop. I've also seen dogs asked to find a certain toy by name and get it.

Stuff that I haven't seen before that might be cool: Put treat on nose then flip into his mouth, jumping rope.

    Best of luck!

Here's a link to a cool web site that has lots of great tricks that you can teach your dog. It sounds like he'll catch onto them really quick and it will be fun for both of you. Complete instructions are included, which is why I'm giving you link instead of explaining all the tricks. Have fun :-)

Way to go. It sounds like you have done a great job.

A couple of things that people go crazy when my dog does them is.

spin in both directions. I call it "chase the tail" and "unwind" but it is the same thing as spin.

Stick em up then "bang". People love this one. You are almost there already.

    "sneeze"

    Speak, & inside voice.

I would love to know how you taught jump rope & spin in the air. That sounds really cool.

Add: Bonnie L. It is your choice to not teach your own dogs tricks. However, teaching tricks is a great way to develop focus and a desire to please. My "trick" dog has multiple titles in obedience and agility. And one of the best agility competitors in the world, Silvia Trkman , develops her dogs with tricks.

I think one of the best tricks is the bang one, but I have to add to it. Have him sit pretty and then play dead. Its so cute!

Also some cool tricks I have seen are when you make a hoop with your arms and the dog jumps through them or when they walk on there hind legs and then jump backwards! Good luck!

Dance, or walk on two feet. My puppy learned to do this, by holding a treat just far enough so she couldn't get it, and as soon as she stood on 2 feet for 5 seconds i gave it to her, its super cute. Also weaving through your legs is a different kind of dance.

Play bow (rump in air, forelegs on floor)

    'Sing' (bark)

Getting your dog to jump on command? Never seen it happen but that would be cool!

UGH! I don't teach my dogs stupid dog tricks. They are way too smart to do stuff like that. Mine are working Border Collies. Teaching them tricks teaches them obsessive behavior. Why not just involved in something like obedience/agility, something like that?
