Haha, we've all seen one of these people on the internet before:
"I listen to real music, not rap"
Ohhh, those ppl piss me off. I will agree that there are some new age rap songs that i can't stand, but if they were a real music fan, they wouldn't be such a douche. This isn't really a question, but if you're reading this and you've dissed rap cuz you like metal/rock, or vice versa. Quit, cuz there ARE other types of ppl besides you. That is all.
to huntah: but you could say screamo is just screaming, "it has no musical elements" just saying. But i do agree with you it is synthesizers, but someone has to think that up. (its called musicality)
I mean don't get me wrong, I am a great guitarist, im in a jazz band, i have a standard rock band, so its not like i only listen to one or the other. Techno music has no instruments. So its basically like technorap i guess if you think about it.

I don't say rap (or rock, for that matter) sucks simply because I listen to metal. I say it sucks because it does.

well i guess you could say rap is music...but it can't compare to REAL music. Real classic music like the Beatles. Most rap songs nowadays and before don't consist of real musical instruments, just beats and synthesizers, that's why people don't consider it "music". but i guess you could say it is.
