    Milk out of the fridge, no. But heating milk results in the release of tryptophan which can make one drowsy in sufficient doses.

    I believe warm milk helps people go to sleep but I don't know the science behind it.

    Heated milk has a harmless and safe chemical in that makes you tired! I drink hot chocolate a lot with milk and it makes me drowsy!

    it will not put you to sleep but there is something in it that will help you sleep i can't remember what it is or how it works

    I don't know the chemistry, but it could be a comforting bedtime ritual/wives tale that really psyches you into being sleepy.

    yes bc it has a calming effect i think bc as babies we were given milk, and we associate it with that.
