being ripped off at the supermarket?

I went to Sainsbury`s this morning and there were loads of offers like buy 2 for £5 or £3, i was just going to get 2 lots of olives for £5 when I realised they were only £2.35 for 1, this is not a question as such but just a warning to other shoppers to look at the prices before you think you`re getting a bargain, has anyone else had the same problem at other supermarkets?

I have seen this before (but thankfully never been caught by it). What I have been caught by is Asda: they offer 2/3 for £3/£4/£5 etc on the Shelves, but then hope that you do not always check yopur receipt when you leave the store!

Ever wondered what the que at the customer services desk in Asda is all about? It's all the people that realised that after falling for these offers on the shelves....not all of them were given at the check-out!!!

If you shop in Asda, check your receipt carefully before you leave!

I see that all the time in Canada too. The sign says 2 large bags of potato chips for $5, but if you look closer it's only $2.20 for one bag. It's just a marketing scam to feed on impulse buyers.

Speak to management. If this supermarket is a large chain, contact the home-office. Things like this, happen alot in supermarkets. It's because they interview/hire people who don't care for others. They hire people who don't want to do the job, but need to job for the money. I don't understand how supermarkets do business.

    Oi Vei. D:

Walmart did something like this to me... Well actually much worse. In short, I lost over 90$ to Walmart due to the errors of an overconfident rookie on her first day. -_-

    Hmph. >!<
