What is your reaction to Vick now being an Eagle?

Since everyone want to keep talking about it I will too. When I got the text at work I was ok good strong front office tough coach and will not have to compete for a starting job. Then I heard the comments by PETA and now I hope he has an MVP pro bowl type season. I am not a Philly fan and never was a Vick fan, but I cheer him now because of PETA.

I think it is a win-win situation for both the Eagles and him. He will be coming into the season pretty healthy, with prior NFL starting quarter-back experience to a team that has an older quarterback that has had some inconsistent performances due to a couple of nagging injuries. His athleticism and ability and the situation make him a great choice and give him another shot.

Being an animal lover I was greatly disappointed and disturbed about his problems and charges of dog fighting. I think people need to remember though that he was not born and raised in a nice part of town. We all are a product of our upbringing I think and certainly some of this has a play in all of it. Sometimes pro athletes like him make some bad choices and become involved in or do some stupid things when they have all that money, fame, and fortune. He obviously did and has done his time and realizes that he made a mistake and some stupid decisions. People and organizations I think need to at least show the same understanding and compassion towards him as they would any living creature and give him a chance and let him continue on with his life and try to make up for his previous shortcomings.

To "cheer" for a sadistic animal abuser because you don't like PETA shows your lack of deciency, moralty & character,

  • PETA are extremists and should never have had anything to do with the Vick case, their leader ingrid newkirk believes all pitbulls should be euthanized, and most pitbull owners belive she should be the one euthanized. Just read her will and it will tell you how nutty she is. http://www.peta.org/feat/newkirk/will.html
