Why is Ohio St. ranked so high...again?

Sombody help me.....help me please?...Who keeps putting Ohio St. in the top 10 Every year? This is a team that plays nobody all season long except for 1 out of conference game that ,(for about the last 4 years) they always lose.

USC is from a weak conference, but you can see the talent in the team. You can put them in a game against Florida or Texas and they have a great chance of winning that game...Theres not a person on this planet that can honestly say that Ohio St. has a chance against any elite team...so why are they ranked so high...again?

Because they have a big stadium and alot of fans so if they get a bowl game its guaranteed to sell out.The rankings are all about who the "bowl committee" thinks will sell more tickets to a bowl game and nothing to do with which team is the best. Example- Utah only undefeated team last year ranked 19th. WTF!?!?!?

They have one of the toughest out of conference schedules in the NCAA. Look at all other elite teams like Florida, their OOC schedule is Troy, FL International, Charleston Southern. Texas OOC schedule is Louisianna Monroe, UTEP, Wyoming, and UCF. And to say USC is from a weak conference when they went 5-0 in their bowl games last year proves you are an idiot when it comes to college football. The Fiesta Bowl last year really helped OSU out a little bit since most people were arguing that Texas should have been in the National Championship game, and then by some kind of luck just barely got by OSU, which proved that OSU still is a strong team, even considering they were starting a freshman quarterback who will only get better. All this weak conference talk is getting old. I myself don't cheer on a conference, I cheer on a single team, but I guess when Florida is the only team in the SEC doing anything who else are the Alabama, Tennesee, Auburn, etc going to root for, that's way they started this whole SEC bandwagon fan nation. Grow up and pick a team, not a whole conference.

I believe it is because of the extreme and enormous fan base. That is pretty much the best team in a 4-5 state area and also boasts thousands of alumni which may have some pull. They can also pack a house and bring in TV ratings. I dont like them cause they get ranked prematurely due to traditions, what ifs, and the aforementioned.

P.S. Why u got no shirt on in a male dominated section of yahoo. Cover up,grown men trying to read around here

Part of it has to do with who they are. Ohio State is still one of the more popular teams, and will always be ranked, kind of like Notre Dame. However, I love how people continue to act like the Big 10 and the Pac 10 are no better than the MAC or Sun Belt, even though they are both better than the Big Least and the ACC annually.

I consider you yet no longer approximately Arizona State. Who your wins come against might desire to make a extensive distinction in the ability/bcs rankings. i take advantage of this formulation to %. my communities. LSU has 9 wins over communities with a mixed fifty two wins plus wins over 6 suitable 25 communities , shortened to 9+fifty two+6=sixty seven/10 video games performed or 6.70 PR (PR=ability score). Now we could seem at all of us. - LSU 9+fifty two+6=sixty seven/10 or 6.70 PR - Oregon 8+40 six+2=fifty six/9 or 6.22 PR - Oklahoma 9+40 3+2=fifty 4/10 or 5.40 PR - Kansas 10+40+a million=fifty one/10 or 5.10 PR - W Virginia 8+35+a million=40 4/9 or 4.88 PR - Missouri 9+40 4+2=fifty 5/10 or 5.50 PR - Ohio St 10+fifty 3+2=sixty 5/11 or 5.ninety PR - Georgia 8+40-one+3=fifty two/10 or 5.20 PR - Arizona State 9+40+a million=50/10 or 5.00 PR - Virginia Tech 8+39+a million=40 8/10 or 4.80 PR it quite is the AP suitable 10 as of immediately in the order they rank them with the wins over suitable 25 communities as they run week to week. on the top of the same old season i might use the year end suitable 25 team standings to calculate the wins over suitable 25 communities that could desire to alter the standings dramatically. As of this week i might rank them like this: - LSU 9+fifty two+6=sixty seven/10 or 6.70 PR - Oregon 8+40 six+2=fifty six/9 or 6.22 PR - Ohio St 10+fifty 3+2=sixty 5/11 or 5.ninety PR - Missouri 9+40 4+2=fifty 5/10 or 5.50 PR - Oklahoma 9+40 3+2=fifty 4/10 or 5.40 PR - Georgia 8+40-one+3=fifty two/10 or 5.20 PR - Kansas 10+40+a million=fifty one/10 or 5.10 PR - Arizona State 9+40+a million=50/10 or 5.00 PR - W Virginia 8+35+a million=40 4/9 or 4.88 PR - Virginia Tech 8+39+a million=40 8/10 or 4.80 PR If I dug a sprint deeper into the suitable 25 a number of those communities would possibly no longer even make the suitable 10. Take it with a grain of salt, that's in basic terms my opinion yet after week 6 of the season it relatively works extraordinarily plenty.

They are the best team in the Big Ten. Their team is stacked with

talent and they will beat USC this year. They have a ton on returning starters. OSU will finish with one loss and play USC in the Rose Bowl.

I have no idea. But I think it has to do with their play at the end of last year. They ended strong and almost upset Texas in the Fiesta Bowl

Obviously you can't read schedules and only listen to what you hear on ESPN and jump on whatever bandwagon those dunces are spouting. Why don't you get an original thought for a change?
