can you rototill a slope ?

I have a pretty steep slope and i'd like to plant flowers and things but it would be back breaking to try to do it by hand. any decent suggestions would be great. thanks in advance

    Yeah but I would do it uphill if a front tine tiller and downhill if a rear tine. Across the hill might roll the tiller.

    Sure why not? Gravity is the only difference. Just be careful you're strong enough to support it properly and not slip.
