As a conservative Christian, I don't look down on people's beliefs.

That doesn't mean I agree with godless programming in the church.

Liberal, Consevative, left, right, we all can be christians if we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. And follow what the bible says we mus do and how we must live as christians. I don't always agree with liberals, and I don't always believe in consevatives and so on, but that doesn't mean we cant serve the same God. Who are we (or anybody else) to judge and say that people aren't christians. Isn't that the Lords job?

That is like a free speech advocate accepting a pro-censorship position. Or more precisely, would the censor allow the other free speech? Unlikely that a conservative cares about the opinion of the liberals.

When I think of Conservative Christians I think of the Southern Baptist and some people think if you go to a baptist there are conservative as the Southern Bapist. The Southern bapists are known for believing that women are not to wear make up and must wear a dress and hair down. Well, some baptist do put their hair up, wear make-up, and wear pants (like jeans). But when it comes to the conservative vs liberal christians it all comes down to what God is convicting them to do.

It matters not a bit to me. So I don't know why the question would be important to anybody.

In any case, as to being a "true Christian", that would depend upon Jesus' definition of the traits of his "true followers" as found in his teachings. Seeing how "Liberal Christians" are the ones who are most likely to disagree with Jesus' teachings, the better question is whether JESUS accept someone, not whether or not one group accepts some other group.

But as for me, I have no reason to care whether a "liberal Christian" ACCEPTS me in any sense or not. (Why would it possibly matter? He/she is welcome to come worship with me or to choose not to do so.)

Of course, as to Jesus' viewpoint, he taught that the false believers would mix with the true by speaking about the goats being among the sheep and the weeds (tares) being among the wheat -- and waiting for the harvest to separate the true from the false. Jesus said that the tares would be separated out at the last judgment and burned. So that tells me that there will continue to be many false claimants to being Christian. Jesus also said that many will say "Lord, Lord" even though they don't know him. He also said that those who obey the Father and know the Father will also know the Son. Therefore, those who CLAIM to know Jesus but do not obey his commandments and those of the Father are proclaiming THEMSELVES TO NOT BE CHRISTS' TRUE FOLLOWERS.

Someone has told you that not everyone who calls themselves a Christian is one, eh?

And, of course, since you are not a Christian, you don't see the point, right?

Tell me, is every man or every woman who signs the motel register as "Mr. Smith" or "Mrs. Smith" actually members to the Smith family??

Yeah, and if you believe that, I am the remote descendant of the beautiful and wealthy Cleopatra...

Seriously, it matters not a whit if someone else "accepts me" as a Christian or not, as long as Christ accepts me.

After all, He is the Only One Who can give me eternal life...

What does being Christian have to do with liberal or conservative or any other political leaning?

the tale or anecdote about taking the splinter out of your brothers eye when you have a plank in your own comes to mind here. Who really cares what others think or say or write about us, all we need to concentrate on is our self as in the inner kind. If we spend too much time pointing out why every one else won`t get to heaven then we may just miss the bus ourselves.

A Christian is one who has accepted Christ into their life. Going to church or being a good person does not do it. Only inviting Christ into your life can you call yourself Christian. If you go against the teachings of Christ accepting homosexuality abortion.. ... the Holy spirit cannot be with you.

I have conservative values and have been accused of being republican (altho i am not). I dont get involved in politics. I would welcome any Christian into my home and into my life by the basis of our faith in Christ Jesus, the only begotten Son of God.

I believe that any true Christian wouldn't get involved in politics. Unless it be to try and save all those lost souls in Washington. And i mean ALL of them, democrate and republican alike!!!
