What the heck? Why am I gaining all this weight?

I am a 26 y/o female. I used to be 5'4" about 115 pounds. I had to take some medication that made me gain a lot of weight and I also lost my job at that time and I got up to 150. I have stopped those meds months and months ago. I lost a little, got to 140-145 and now I am up to 155! The funny thing is all that is changed is I am exercising 2 hours more per week (gymnastics) and working again. No extra or different food. And I thought maybe it was muscle gain from the gymnastics but my breasts have gone up a cup size! And I know breast weight is all fat. And to answer your already burning question there is no way that I am pregnant :-) I am so sick of being fat, any suggestions? Or thoughts on why maybe I am gaining again?

Thanks!

It might be because of stress

It also might be water weight, most people don't know it but that is the number one thing that could be causing you to put on weight

Try to cut back on food that has salt in it, salt is a number one food that retains water.

Drink about 4 glasses of water to start out, then slowly work it up to 8, it really does work! A little hint though is that you WILL have to pee A LOT, but that's a good thing, that's all the water and toxins coming out of you that is weighing you down.

Try eating lots of fruit, like watermelon, and melons that have a high content of water already in them, I'm sure you'll feel more healthier in a few days, but by the end of the week you'll notice a difference.

    Also go to Specialk.com

and try their diet plan, I lost about 3 pounds and 2 inches off my waist in the 2 week diet, and they have so much great snacks and cereal

You basically eat it for breakfast, have either a special k snack bar or some fruit for a snack in between both breakfast//lunch & lunch//dinner

then for lunch you have the cereal. Then for dinner you have a light meal of whatever you want

They suggest you not eating a desert, but that's not that hard to take! especially when they have a 'chocolaty delight' cereal, that is pretty big sized chocolate chunks inside, and with cold milk, it just tastes so good!

    Good luck!!

Be patient w/ yourself - it does take time to lose weight - sometimes just as long as it took to put it on. I don't know how long ago you used to be 115 lbs - but as you get older you may find it harder and harder to lose extra pounds. It just might be your age, or the condition for which you take meds. Some medical conditions or illnesses cause the metabolism to slow down like hormonal issues, thyroid related stuff, diabetes, asthma and so on. There's not much you can do about that except to eat healthy and excercise - starve dieting could make your condition worse and send you to the hospital - which in turn would immobilize you and make you fatter.

Maybe see a doctor, Some people get too tall some don't get tall at all, I would say check with a doctor. Hope you get some good news.
