I am wanting to get my rook and my conch done. I am not sure yet if I want them in one ear or one in each.

It has been so long since I had a piercing I am out of the loop. I have been to 2 places, both were clean one is quite a bit cheaper $35 than the other at $50. I actually went with a friend while she got her helix pierced at the more expensive place. The guy did a good job, and the procedure looked sterile and correct.

I asked him what gauge he pierces conches at and he told me 18 gauge. Everything I have read say they are commonly 14 with a needle.

SO basically I have 4 questions. 1) how do you pick a place? Neither of them were too friendly about jewelry questions.2) what are the correct gauges for both conch and rook piercings? and 3) Why don't piercing places carry a larger selection of jewelry? If it has to be in for several months I want more than the standard stainless steel with balls. and 4) Do places ever let you bring your own jewelry?

This is one of the strangest times I have ever been sick. A little background, I felt fine then suddenly I got a horrible cough and fever. By 3 in the morning my fever was up to 104.5 with nothing but a sheet on me and having already taking Tylenol.

I went to the urgent care the next day and was told I have bronchitis without a chest x-ray or any tests other than him listening to my lungs. I was given a Z-pack. A few days later I ended up with bacterial vaginosis and had to take Flaygl and the Flaygl gave me a yeast infection so finally I took a Diflicuan (sp?) So full of problems.

Now it is almost 2 weeks later and all the meds are finished and I am still having random low grade fevers 99-100.5 and still have a cough and feel tired and weak. The tiredness and weakness are slowly getting better but the random fever thing worries me.

I have been resting, drinking lots of fluid, taking OTC cough meds, my inhaler, and IB Profin.

I really want to know if this is par for the course. I tried to call the Urgent care and ask but of course they are closed now until Tuesday. I do plan to follow up with my personal doc but won't be able to get an appointment for 1-2 more weeks.

If this seems normal to you, just how long does this crud tend to last? I have to carry on with my normal life at some point. I've been to work but I was useless, and my other job is re opening after the Holiday's and I have to get right back in the swing of things.

I just got a job as an ER tech. The shifts are 12 hours and you are on your feet on a hard floor for most of it. My husband works the same job and is always complaining that his feet are killing him. So what shoes are the best from your experiences and which should I steer clear of?

First off no I am not thinking of becoming one. We have had some shady "massage parlors" get busted recently in town and it made me think obviously having someone get a massage and pay extra for a happy ending is illegal but what if you charged a large sum for a massage and even had the patron sign a contract saying what they are paying for is strictly a massage but that if things get heated and both parties are willing sex acts may occur but are not paid of the paid massage but rather a decision to engage in sex acts between 2 consenting adults? How would that work out legally? Is their a loophole there?

I had my hair dyed red at a salon, they told me the color was 7RR. I now want to re dye it as it is fading but I would much rather have a go at it myself than spend the big bucks again at the salon. I went to Sally's Beauty and they have a couple of 7RR's in different brands, and at walmart I even saw a box of Clairol 7RR. So my question is are all of these the same color essentially?

I have always wondered, why do they have safe handling instructions and a temp. guideline on frozen meat products that claim they are already fully cooked? I have also seen it on some pre packaged microwave meals. Wouldn't the meat be safe and germ free if it were already fully cooked?

My husband and I got the chance to get new phones, I was clueless about which was best and he was set on the new Android Atrix. I ended up getting an Iphone 3GS, it is a huge step up from my Razr I had for 4 years but I am not so sure I made the right choice. I have 30 days to return it if I want a different one. I tend to keep my phone for at least 2 years.

Do you think I am better off with the IPhone I got or getting the new Atrix? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each? Has any one has both choosing one over the other? I am so confused on what to do.

I am in love with the dress the Mad Hatter makes for her after he shrinks her in the teapot. Does anyone make it and sell it? And no I have no sewing skills so making it is not an option.

My 3 year old Chihuahua woke up this morning with a sour stomach, she had 3 bowel movements (they were diarrhea) I did not see the first 2 as a housemate cleaned them up but she stated there was blood in them. I did see the 3rd. It does have a red mucous like material in it, but not a large amount. Her stomach is making noise and since then she has one additional bowel movement (runny still) that did not have any red material in it.

Other than that and the fact that she does not have an appetite (she ate last night but not this morning) she seems fine, she is alert, bright eyed, gums are pink, she has saliva and her belly is not tender to the touch.

I guess my question is what to do, should I monitor this for the rest of the afternoon and see how she is doing in the A.M? or should I rush off to the vet? I am a good dog owner but my vet sucks, I didn't find out about the issue into 11a.m. and they close at 11:30-2:00 (it is walk in only) and re-open from 2-5 this was the worst possible day as I have a job interview at 4p.m. so there is no time to take her now and I won't be able to make it after.

The only other choice would be going to a vet that is open later or an emergency vet, but honestly if she isn't likely to get sicker during the night I'd rather play it out and see how she is in the A.M. What do you think I should do? And has this ever happened to anyone else? If so what was the cause?

I want my conch pierced so bad, the only problem is I do a sport where no earrings what so ever are allowed. I figure it will be okay for practice because their main concern is it getting ripped out and since it is in the ear not the lobe it should pose an issue.

The real problem is for competitions no earrings are allowed and they are not even allowed to be taped up, I compete once a month. So I am wondering can you have this piercing done with like a plastic stud with a flat back and screw in head that I could change from a stone to a clear plastic ball? If so would it be noticeable from say 7 feet away?

And one last thing, how long does this piercing take to heal, to the point where I could take it out for 1-2 hours? I may wait until competition season is over but the break is only like 4 months long.

My parents have offered to fly me up to see them for the Holidays. I am an adult. They would like me to find a flight and then give me their credit card number to pay for it. Can I do this or does the credit card have to be in my name? My husband said it would not work due to new rules after 9/11. I can't find a clear answer anywhere.

I need $cash$ ebay has a deal going now until 9/7 that all auction style listings are free to insert, you still have to pay the final value fee if it sells. It's been going on a while and I have tried seller a bunch of random things, clothing, shoes, books. I know I am not going to get anywhere near what I paid back for them plus after ebay and paypal rape you on fees there is just no chance. I always end up selling a designer pair of shoes I paid $90 for $12 on ebay then ebay take like $1.20 and paypal take like $1 so in the end I get $9.80. Just an example. I don't have anything great no antiques, art, coins and the like so what are people most successful selling on ebay when it comes to everyday items. I know I am going to take a loss but I'd rather be able to actually sell several items so the end result was worth the trouble.

A little background. I am a germ-o-phobe I am all about hygiene, I wash my hand properly, use hand sanitizer, don't touch my face, etc. but ever since I can remember I constantly get sick and always much worse than anyone else I know. For example my husband may get a cold, he is sick for maybe 3 days and does not miss work and by the 4th day he is just blowing his nose and getting rid of the residual. I will get the same cold be sick for 3 weeks, get a fever, miss several days of work, get so dizzy I can't walk, be so tired I can only stay up for 2-3 hours at a time. So far this year, I have kept count for fun I have been sick 9 times and I live in a tropical climate. I have visited a doctor on several occasions for this throughout my life and they always blow me off saying you work around people, it just happens, you are being a wimp. Also I live with 2 elderly people and I try to be careful around them but in the 2 years I have been living here and the amount of times I have been ill they have never been sick, I just find that odd as I am an otherwise healthy 28 year old. I take vitamins, get sleep, have a fairly good diet and I exercise. Any ideas? Is it really normal get get this sick and get sick this often? And how do people function? I pushed myself into work last week with a 103 fever, I have to as I get sick so much I can't miss work all the time. It is getting really old and depressing. And I am not going to the doctor again to give them $90 to tell me I am a wimp and nothing is wrong.

I have no clue how they got my parents phone number as I am an adult, other than I lived with them for 2 months when I moved back home and found a job and that is the number I used for work to contact me. The creditors do have my phone number but they continue to call my parents even though they have told them not to several times. My Mom is very upset as they call all day long. If I have their phone number changed will the creditors be able to find it again provided it is unlisted? Are they privileged to that information? Please only answer the question at hand. Just FYI so I don't get a bunch of replies suggesting it, I cannot pay the debt and I will be filing for bankruptcy.

I am in a sticky situation. I work as a coach at a gymnastics club. I am an hourly paid employee. I just got the job 2 weeks ago. My boss is now forcing me to work at meets, parties etc. for free, she calls it "volunteering" but it is mandatory. This is a for profit business, not a charity and she rakes in tons of money off these things. I barely make more than min wage as it is. The first thing she wants me to work is a meet for 2 days 8-12 hours each day for no pay, and no other compensation. I am completely unwilling as I know this is illegal and wrong. The sticky part that I need help with is how to say no tactfully. The only reason I care is because I am also a gymnast there and I do not want to be kicked out of the gym as it is the only one available and it is my life. So basically I need to figure out how to tell her no I won't work for free without severing our relationship. I don't even care if she doesn't agree and fires me as a coach so long as I can still take class. Any suggestions. P.S. this woman is very moody.

I am a 26 y/o female. I used to be 5'4" about 115 pounds. I had to take some medication that made me gain a lot of weight and I also lost my job at that time and I got up to 150. I have stopped those meds months and months ago. I lost a little, got to 140-145 and now I am up to 155! The funny thing is all that is changed is I am exercising 2 hours more per week (gymnastics) and working again. No extra or different food. And I thought maybe it was muscle gain from the gymnastics but my breasts have gone up a cup size! And I know breast weight is all fat. And to answer your already burning question there is no way that I am pregnant :-) I am so sick of being fat, any suggestions? Or thoughts on why maybe I am gaining again?

I have had a CBR in my tragus for well over a year now. I now want to change it to a stud. I have bought the stud I want I just need to know how to go about getting it out, and if I will be able to do so without trashing the CBR. Going to get it professionally done is not an option. I have been taking many many pre employment personality tests that go along with the job application lately. Some of the places have been K-mart, Petsmart, Petco, JcPenney's, and Sears. Does anyone especially those who have taken one and have gotten hired know what answers they are looking for? I have been told you either strongly agree or strongly disagree on all the questions. But I googled it yesterday and some sites said that was true and to make yourself appear to be very social. But I also heard the opposite that they wanted someone more in the middle and that they can tell if your answers seem to "superhuman" so how should I be answering these to get the job? Also what do you put for the one that asks if you enjoy dealing with angry customers all day? In my over thinking mind I assume if you put you do then they might think you MAKE customers angry and if you put you don't they assume you cannot be in customer service. Any help would be great!
