How to get CBR out of my tragus?

I have had a CBR in my tragus for well over a year now. I now want to change it to a stud. I have bought the stud I want I just need to know how to go about getting it out, and if I will be able to do so without trashing the CBR. Going to get it professionally done is not an option. Thank you for you help!

The bead on a captive bead ring is held on with pressure. The piercer has special tools called opening and closing pliers. If going to a piercing studio is not an option you can get someone to help you with it. Just get a regular pair of pliers, (needle nose would be good since the ring for a tragus is so small) Put the nose of the pliers inside the ring and gently pry the sides of the ring apart. The bead will go who knows where so be careful if you want to keep it. Good Luck

just take a small needle nose plyers and put it in the center, and gently open the ring, the bead will fall out and just open the circle enough to remove out of your tragus. make sure to clean it really well before you put in the stud too.

  • i just pop them out with my fingers. all it takes is a little bit of a sideways twist to pop the ball loose. just make sure that you don't jerk the ring very hard if you do it this way.
