Can I pay for my airline ticket using my parents credit card?

My parents have offered to fly me up to see them for the Holidays. I am an adult. They would like me to find a flight and then give me their credit card number to pay for it. Can I do this or does the credit card have to be in my name? My husband said it would not work due to new rules after 9/11. I can't find a clear answer anywhere.

Yes of course, people pay for others air tickets all the time, family members, company employees, girl/boy friends, mother-in-laws! The most important thing is you would need to give out the correct billing address, exact name that appears on the card, expiration date, code no. on back of card before the payment can be approved. As a passenger yourself, when you make your booking, you need to verify your name, date of birth as they appear on the government issued photo id you will use to go through airport security.

If you have money saved up, why do you want a credit card? Unless you already have a debit card, I'd highly recommend getting one instead. Remember though, cards are why young adults go into debt easily. Learn to manage your money and don't over spend. The more spending power one has, the more willing one is to buying something that isn't needed and can be spent on something else that would otherwise be considered a necessity. I use Bank of America. There is nothing wrong with them. I would recommend them, but my second choice would be Chase.

You can use their credit card. I always allow my grandparents to use my credit card when they come to visit me. It is not a problem. However, make sure you put your address but put their information for the billing address.

    Have a great trip!

Yeah that should be fine. Just use your name and their billing information when you book. Another way to do this if your husband isn't comfortable with it is to pay for it yourself and then tell your parents the cost and then have them write you a check. Either way works fine.
