The Ring Magazine ...owned by Oscar De La Hoya appear to be critical of the Van Hoy score as well as the ...?

as well as the 100-89 score in the Jacobs / Smith fight. Is Oscar and Golden boy innocent in the Malinaggi/ Diaz fight and it's just Texas...or is Golden Boy a co-conspirator?

Read this link I found reading on ringtv.com: http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news;_ylt=AoayXRyB7KCT...

If Golden Boy was in on the decision making from the judges, they wouldn't come out and admit it.

mixture of both, Texas judges will always back their boy(Diaz other texas fighters). I also think that the judges were like man that is De La Hoya That's Diaz everyone wants to see them win. An i think that the refs then only focused in on Diaz an Malinaggi got kicked to the curb. They counted all of his an none of Paulies.

As for your question is he Innocent we will never know, you don't hear any outrage from the de la hoya camp, not even a that's a little too much. But the only way Paulie will get some vindication is to have the one judge who had Diaz winning by 8 rounds to have his license taken away an ban him from ever judging again. Than an a rematch in NY, with New York Judges.

From what I understand when Oscar De La Hoya purchased Ring Magazine he decided to keep the same staff of writers and reports that were working with the company before he came. He did it so that his influence over what is produced wouldn't be called into question.

I mentioned in your other question that I didn't get to see the Danial Jacobs fight because I had to return my Red Box DVD. I did see Paulie Malinaggi vs Juan Diaz and that fight was a complete injustice to boxing. Us hardcore Boxing fans should be ashamed at our sport after what happened on Saturday. Malinaggi was the clear winner i watched the fight again last night to make sure I was sure about who won it, and I still felt that Paulie Malinaggi was robbed.

I personally like what Golden Boy Promotions is doing for the sport overall. I don't see why Oscar would pressure anyone to score a fight for Juan Diaz? We're not talking about a guy who is about to take the sport by storm or a guy who has a household name in America. Juan Diaz sells tickets in Texas, not in Vegas. Golden Boy didn't exactly have a golden investment on the line against Paulie Malinaggi.

If anything, it looks like the only loss for Pauli is on the official record. The fans, for the most part, believe he should have won. The spotlight is on him in a positive way, and as a result, we'll see him back in action again.

Politically, the one judge may have sent his judging career to the "gallows" with this fight. Promoters are going to stay away from this guy as far as the east is from the west.

that article is not from The Ring but from Yahoo! Sports, but by putting that article as its main story, it shows how fair they are. when Golden Boy bought the magazine, the magazine hasnt kept from GBP criticizing fighters or hasnt unfairly ranked GBP fighters too highly. also, i dont think they are involved in any corruption involving the decision. hometown decisions have been going on for a long time before Oscar De La Hoya was even born. i thought Diaz won a really close fight, by the way, i just think two of the scores were already filled in before the fight happened.

I saw the post fight interview of Malignaggi, IT WAS funny man... but he made lots of points.

For your question, I think De La Hoya's Joker-Like smile behind Baby Bull Diaz during the post-fight interview seemed fishy and yet funny at the same time.
