I'm looking for over the counter antidepressents...?

I've tried 5-HTP, St. John's wort and different foods. I'm not looking for a food answer. Thanks!

It depends on how long you're taking them. St John's Wort takes about a month for it to kick in and try to take 3 times a day.

You won't find any over the counter antidepressants. You'll need a prescription unless you continue to go the natural/herbal route. I tried 5-HTP too and had no luck.

I have tried Citalo which is mild but very effective and is given over the counter. But it always good to ask the advice of a doctor before taking any meds.

Possibly Suntheanine (pure L-Theanine) or Valerian Root. I think those are mostly for anxiety though (but a lot of the time anxiety and depression go hand-in-hand)... but either way, I don't know if they even really work, unless the problem is minor.

The ones you already mentioned are the only natural ones that are really been proven to work. Next stop, doctor!
