Hi all,

Well I'm from San Diego where there are several stores that sells the "real stuff" as far as Italian foods. For example, imported pastas. Real meats (Margherita pepperoni), etc.

I can't seem to find anything like this in Atlanta.

Am I missing something? Please help! Thanks in advance!

My sister, niece and her cat moved in with my husband and I about a year and a half ago. I also have a cat, whom I've had for 11 years. He's super healthy.

My sister's cat WAS healthy up until recently.

Here's the symptoms:

1) He's been hiding out-he's been under my sister's bed for 2 days. She went and pulled him out a couple of times, and brought him to his food and water bowls, but he didn't eat anything, and my sister had to pick him up and carry him back to her room.

2) He's moving SUPER slow...he's always been a bit of a slow cat, but now it's pretty bad. He seems to have little to no energy

3) He won't eat or drink-my sister always fed him hard food, and he stopped eating that a few weeks ago. She thought he didn't like the brand or flavor-she has since tried about 5 different hard foods-he wouldn't eat that, so she got wet food-again, no luck. I don't know for sure when the last time he ate or drank was.

4) He's lost weight. I hadn't seen him in a couple of days, and when I saw him today I was shocked. He looks sunken in. You can see and feel every knob in his spine, his shoulder blades, etc

5) My cat (who has gotten along wonderfully with my sister's cat) has been randomly going up to her cat and sniffing him for long periods of time.

6) My sister's cat seemed ok a few days ago-he even chased after a moth a few nights ago.

7) He's still purring when you pet him

8) He's always very vocal, that doesn't seem to have changed

9) His eyes still look very bright and clear

10) His nose is dry

Oh, and some background-my sister adopted him from a shelter 11 years ago. They estimated his age at the time of the adoption was 4-5 years old, so that would make him 15-16 years old now.

Does this sound like he may be dying?

I know all cats and situations are different, but I'm just trying to get an idea of what might be going on. My sister is trying to get an appointment at a local animal hospital right now. If he is suffering, she will do what's best for him.

Also, again, I know there is no one answer but I'm wondering if maybe anyone could give me an estimation on how much time he might have from this state to his death?

My niece Madison turned 1 on Dec 16th. I'm married and we live with my sister Brandy her daughter Madison. I've been living with Madison since she was less than a month old. I've never had any kind of issues with her "not liking me" until recently.

She's an only child and her mom is very caring and affectionate. I've been very affectionate with Maddy as well, and my husband Matt is like her play-mate.

Recently Maddy has started to ignore me when I call her, and to slap my hands away when I try to pick her up. Sometimes when I look at her she makes this shrieking noise and turns away. This has been going on for about a week.

She still goes to my husband, and looks at him when he calls her name. The same with her Mom. It just seems to be me she's angry at.

Her life has always been very calm and she's been on a pretty strict schedule. Just this week my sister and I joined a gym and have been taking Maddy to the gym's daycare. She's getting better about being away from her mom, but her behavior towards me seems to coincide with this change in her schedule. This is the first time she's ever been in daycare, and she's only there for 45 minutes a day.

Help! Why doesn't she like me, or is this something I'm reading too much into? I'm upset, because she's very important to me!

When I was attending church as a child I found the Catholic churches I went to dark and almost scary. Do you think there are some things that need to change in the churches themselves to make the environment a little less frightening for children? I found this mainly in NY where I grew up. Some of the other churches I attended weren't this way, so I think it may be older churches? Any thoughts? Is your church like this or do you have memories from childhood in a dark and creepy church?

I've never done this, but I'm very interested in selling homemade candies at a craft fair in the state of Georgia. Do you know if I need some kind of permit? Also, do you know where to find other vendor information? Thanks so much!

He's verrrrrrry picky, so I have to really search for low fat recipes that I can get him to eat. So far I've done chicken cutlets with mushrooms, and turkey meatballs. Do you have recipes like this?

I'm not talking about chamomile or any of those. My friend had something called "sleepy time tea" and it helps her sleep. And she has been taking heavy duty prescription sleeping pills for years. My tolerance is really high to drugs and I have serious trouble sleeping. Anyone know of this tea or one like it?

I was approved for FAFSA in California and had to move to Georgia unexpectedly. Does the FAFSA just transfer over to Georgia? Because on my application I put the school I wanted the grant to go through, and now it would be here in Georgia. Do I have to reapply?

I've tried 5-HTP, St. John's wort and different foods. I'm not looking for a food answer. Thanks!
