I have an odd question, about Christmas decorations? Yes, this is related to R&S?

I've always wondered what the thought process is when people put up baby Jesus in the manger with Santa Claus praying over Him.

Any thoughts, theories or conclusions?

Are you serious? Wow. That is Americanism for you.

Let's not forget that Jesus was Jewish, Santa was German, Christmas is based on the Roman Saturnalia, Jesus was born in the spring, and Santa and Jesus have nothing to do with each other.

EMILY STRANGE: Can you take a picture of that and send it to me? That sounds freaking awesome.

Well, Leash. Santa is praying to Jesus. He prays for many things. He prays that Mrs. Claus will stop nagging him about his weight. He prays the reindeer will not get the runs...again. He also prays that when he goes to the mall to be Santa that no children will pee on him.

Jesus and Santa are the two people worshiped on Christmas. It is a way, I suppose, to show that even Santa knows who is greater. Just a guess.

    Never saw that.

I did see Santa nailed to a cross in a Japanese store display. Now that's awesome.
