How long did it take 4 you to get your 2009 first time homeowners credit (after you amended your 2008 taxes)?

I want to know if it takes the full 8 weeks or maybe shorter:)

Plan on 16 weeks if you enclosed a copy of your HUD-1 closing statement and the recorded deed or 18 to 20 weeks if you did not.

The standard processing time for an amended return most years is 8 to 12 weeks. However because of the workload generated by the FTHB credit which has generated about half a million claims and the necessary anti-fraud procedures that are necessitated by the amount of money involved, processing is running around 16 weeks at best.

If you filed all appropriate documents with the Form 1040X, (didn't forget to sign the Form 1040X) then the processing time is 16 weeks, if IRS must request additional information from you then add 6-8 weeks every time they ask for additonal info to be sent to them.
