Yes, it is a good deal currently.

But since its an auction... you wont know what deal your getting untill the auction closes.

It could go up 200 bucks in 10 minutes.

But as of now... its a great deal!

It's a good honest SLR, with a decent sensor. Keep it to ISO800 and below and you'll be fine. 18-55mm is alright, but needs to be worked hard to get sharp images. Canon 75-300mm lenses are all junk, as is the 90-300mm and the 80-200mm f4-5.6. Even the Canon 55-200mm is pretty good, and if you're short for cash the old 70-210mm f4 is a very good choice with it's constant f4, it's the only lens you'll get with constant aperture that's not an L-lens and only costs you $50. But the lens you really should get is the EF 50mm f1.8 it's the most handy lens to get. f1.8 is good for low light, and its dirt cheap to get new or used, and it's pretty simple to fix if it does go wrong.

Auction prices on used equipment can be tempting but... what are you really getting? Where has this lens been? Has it been abused or roughly handled? Has it been wet?

Too bad there isn't a car-fax for camera gear. Be absolutely sure of what you're getting. This kind of thing is always better purchased new.

But, it's your $$ so take your changes because ebay is always buyer beware.

    Good Luck
